Plain and simple, GARC is one of two things, the Geeks Amateur Radio Club, or the Gimps Amateur Radio Club.

The GARC club was created a few years ago over dinner/breakfast at a 24 hour restaurant. The purpose was to create a non-traditional amateur radio club. For more information on amateur radio, visit the ARRL. GARC has since turned in to much more. Before we knew it, there were a lot more people participating in our club and a wide variety of events we were taking part in. Today, GARC has matured in to a group of people who get together to go camping, 4wheeling, mountain biking, jet skiing, etc. And, for those times when people aren't in the mood to be active, or the weather doesn't agree with our plans, we head to the movies out to dinner or just plain old coffee. There is almost always something going on.
